For CDR, hosting the 2026 IFRRO World Congress (IWC) in Bogotá is a significant moment that marks a milestone in our organisational development. We are deeply honoured to welcome the international community and contribute to this space for dialogue, cooperation, and the strengthening of the collective management system.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our partners, colleagues and allies for their generous support in organising this event. Their enthusiastic involvement in the preparation process is being instrumental in ensuring the success of this congress. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to them all.
In particular, we would like to acknowledge the IFRRO Secretariat team for their constant support, commitment and guidance throughout this process. The relationships we are building and the lessons we are learning along the way are undoubtedly some of the best experiences of hosting this year’s congress.

Accommodation
The Grand Hyatt Bogotá will be the main accommodation venue for IWC delegates. It is located at Calle 24A # 57-60, in Ciudad Salitre.

Transportation
From El Dorado International Airport, the Grand Hyatt Bogotá is approximately a 15-minute drive away. Alternatively, the journey by public transport can take between 30 and 35 minutes, depending on the route taken.
Uber is available in Bogotá. Please note that passengers must sit in the front seat next to the driver.

Visitors arriving at El Dorado International Airport have several safe and reliable transportation options to reach their hotel or destination in the city.
Official Airport Taxi Service
The airport provides an authorized taxi service operated by Taxi Imperial S.A.S, the official company designated to transport passengers from the airport. Travelers can request a taxi at the authorized taxi stands located outside the arrivals area. Staff at the airport help assign vehicles to ensure an organized and secure service.
Estimated travel time to hotels in the Salitre area (including the congress venue) is 10–15 minutes, depending on traffic.

Ride-hailing Apps
International ride-hailing apps also operate in Bogotá and can be requested directly from the airport using a smartphone. These services allow passengers to see driver details and estimated fares before the trip.

Authorised taxis at El Dorado International Airport (BOG) are located exclusively in Lane 1 on the first floor, opposite the terminal exits (particularly between Gates 5 and 8). The authorised company is Taxi Imperial, and private vehicles or those in other lanes should be avoided to ensure safety.
Key Points for the Authorised Service:
Location: Lane 1, international and domestic arrivals area, first floor.
Identification: White/yellow taxis with the Taxi Imperial logo.
Procedure: Go directly to the Taxi Imperial counter.
Fare: Pay by meter plus an airport surcharge of approximately 1.5 USD; payment must be made in Colombian pesos. It is advisable to exchange currency within the airport.
Safety recommendations:
Do not accept transport services from anyone inside the terminal who is not at the Taxi Imperial counter.
Authorised drivers usually wear orange jackets.
The service operates 24 hours a day.

Important travel information
Colombia does not require a visa for stays of less than 30 days. International visitors must present a valid passport and complete the Check-Mig form from Migración Colombia (24 hours to 1 hour before the flight)

Weather in Bogotá (October)
Bogotá has a mild mountain climate throughout the year due to its altitude. Temperatures remain relatively stable, typically ranging between 10°C and 19°C (50°F–66°F).
October is part of the rainy season, and short rain showers are common, especially in the afternoon. Average daytime temperatures are around 18°C, while nights can be cooler at around 10°C.
